Siesta Key Sunsets

Siesta Key Sunsets are spectacular. We often enjoy going for long walks on the beach of Siesta Key and having Siesta Key on the west coast of Florida gives us breathtaking water sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico. Every time we are walking on the beach of Siesta Key you see rows and rows of people taking sunset pictures with their iphones, droids, small cameras, and very expensive large cameras on tri-pods. Siesta Key beach at sunset has become a very popular site for taking family pictures and for sunset weddings.
Enjoy some of the latest pictures that I have taken of sunsets on Siesta Key.

If you are thinking that you may want to enjoy this style of living on Siesta Key perhaps you would be interested in owning a piece of Siesta…

Sandcastles on Siesta Key Beach
This past Saturday on Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota, Florida was the annual sandcastles contest. Every year they have an organized contest.

As you can see from these pictures this is no ordinary beach sand. Siesta Key Beach is consistently ranked among the best beaches in America year after year by Dr. Beach. The sand on Siesta Key is 99% quartz which makes it very white – very smooth – very fine and very cool even on the hottest of summer days. Because of the quartz make up of the sand it is very fine and stays together making it the optimum conditions for building any sort of sand design.

Another great reason why to live and work in Sarasota, Florida. Dr. Stephen P. Leatherman aka “Dr. Beach” has just ranked the top 10 beaches in America and Siesta Key Beach has posted #2 just after Hanalei Bay in Kauai, Hawaii. Dr. Beach called Siesta Key Beach, “Some of the finest, whitest sand in the world. Siesta Beach has clean, warm waters that serve for ideal swimming.”
After having lived in Sarasota over the past 10 years and having formally lived in New England and growing up on the beaches of Martha’s Vineyard I couldn’t agree more with the good Doctor. The beach sand consists of a white quartz powdery form that stays cool even on the hottest of days. It is like walking on cool white sugar. The beach itself is hundreds of yards wide and runs…
