Siesta Key Sunsets

Siesta Key Sunsets

Siesta Key Sunsets are spectacular.  We often enjoy going for long walks on the beach of Siesta Key and having Siesta Key on the west coast of Florida gives us breathtaking water sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico.  Every time we are walking on the beach of Siesta Key you see rows and rows of people taking sunset pictures with their iphones, droids, small cameras, and very expensive large cameras on tri-pods. Siesta Key beach at sunset has become a very popular site for taking family pictures and for sunset weddings.

Enjoy some of the latest pictures that I have taken of sunsets on Siesta Key.

Sarasota back in the National Spotlight

“U.S.  News and World Report” has just published a report “Where to Buy a Home for less than $800 a month” and Sarasota made the list at #2.  Here is an excerpt from the Article.

"#2. Sarasota, Fla.: Although exotic mortgage products and investor excitement sent home prices in Sarasota soaring during the housing boom, the subsequent crash hit the market as hard as anywhere in the state. Median home prices in the Sarasota area plummeted from $311,000 in 2007 to $185,000 in the second quarter of this year. But this steep drop only makes this sun-drenched community on Florida's west coast more attractive for home buyers, says Jack McCabe of McCabe Research & Consulting. McCabe says Sarasota's smaller size provides its…

The Legacy Bike Trail, Sarasota, Florida

Why move to Sarasota?  Outdoor Amenities.   One of the many reasons that our family decided on Sarasota, Florida was the great outdoor lifestyle.  I remember before we moved in 1999, I spoke with a friend who had moved to Florida from New England a few years before we did. Andrea told me, “You will love living in Florida, there is always something to do outside during your time off from work.  Moving from the Boston area you really appreciate the year round sunshine and warm weather.”

Thanks to Sarasota County some of that “off from work” time can be spent biking, walking or rollerblading on       “The Legacy Bike Trail”.

This is a 16 mile long section of railroad track that was purchased from the CSX…
