Casey Key Real Estate Info

Casey Key is home to fewer than 500 residents who enjoy a private and quiet old Florida charm lifestyle.

The Island of Casey Key has become an island retreat with a mix of Florida style beach bungalows nestled between large elegant waterfront mansions.

To own a Casey Key Home is to enjoy miles of pristine sugary white beaches with views of the aqua-blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Because of this, the Casey Key real estate market has become one of the most prestigious addresses in all of Florida, now called home to celebrities, artists, prominent business owners, sports figures, movie stars, and famous authors such as Stephen King.

With the Gulf of Mexico on the west side of Casey Key and the bay on the east side of the Island, the majority of the homes on Casey Key are waterfront homes. Because Casey Key is a very narrow island in many spots, many of the Casey Key waterfront homes enjoy a view or contain property on both the Gulf of Mexico and the Bay. It is not unusual for a Casey Key waterfront home to have a beach view of the sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico in the front of the home, while having your boat docked in your backyard on the bayside of the island.

Casey Key Homes for sale can range in price from $700,000 to over $12,000,000.

Casey Key Community & Area

Access to Casey Key is from two different bridges, which also connect the residents here to surrounding communities.

The north bridge crosses onto Casey Key at Blackburn Point Road from route 41 in Nokomis. This bridge at Blackburn Point is a one lane swing bridge constructed in 1920 and is one of only a few in the US. The south bridge crosses onto Casey Key from Albee Road and is a conventional drawbridge. Both bridges bring you directly onto Casey Key Road which runs across the entire Island.

Casey Key has several very unique casual waterfront restaurants and motels. As you cross the one lane swing bridge at Blackburn Point you notice directly to your left the large tiki hut. This is the Casey Key Tiki Bar and it shares the parking lot with the Casey Key Fish House, which is a casual waterfront dining restaurant. Both of these Casey Key landmarks are accessible by car or by boat and are a very popular and welcome spot for locals and visitors.

If you are a boater this is a must stop spot just after going under the Blackburn Point bridge.

The hotels for Casey Key are located off of the south Albee Road bridge near the Casey Key Beach which is also known as the Nokomis Beach. The beach has lifeguards, restrooms, and a snack bar.

If you continue south on South Casey Key Road you will come to the end of Casey Key which is the Jetty Park where you can see boats coming in and out of the Venice Inlet.ccBelow is the current list of all the available Casey Key homes for sale.
