Pending Sales Rise Amid Declining Inventory in June

SARASOTA, Fla. (July 22, 2020) – The residential housing market in Sarasota and Manatee is showing signs of recovery with a rebound of pending sales and new listings reported in June 2020. According to the reports compiled by Florida Realtors® and provided by the Realtor® Association of Sarasota and Manatee, closed sales increased year-over-year in Manatee County but decreased in Sarasota County. Inventory, on the other hand, continues to decline among rising prices.

Local Housing Market Delayed by Stay-at-Home Order in April

SARASOTA, Fla. (April 21, 2020) – When Governor Ron DeSantis signed a stay-at-home order for the month of April 2020, a pause in the housing market was expected. The new reports compiled by Florida Realtors® and provided by the Realtor® Association of Sarasota and Manatee show significant decreases in overall market activity when compared to April 2019. Residential Sales Rise While Market Slowdown Begins in March

SARASOTA, Fla. (April 21, 2020) – The March housing market transitioned from a soaring spring season to a slowdown in activity when COVID-19 concerns began to rise mid-month. Year-Over-Year Home Sales Rise Amid Shrinking Inventory

SARASOTA, Fla. (January 22, 2020) – The residential housing market in Sarasota and Manatee counties showed more activity in December of 2019 than the same month in 2018 with a 49.2 percent increase in the total volume of sales.

SARASOTA, FL. (December 19, 2019)  – In November 2019, REALTORS® in Sarasota and Manatee counties participated in 1,655 total residential sales, 4.1 percent more than the same time last year. Sarasota-Manatee Home Sales Rise in October

SARASOTA, FL. (November 21, 2019)  – In October 2019, Sarasota and Manatee residential sales totaled 1,768 units, up by 12.8 percent from October of last year. According to monthly reports from Florida REALTORS®, the combined inventory across both markets decreased for the fourth consecutive month.

In Manatee, single-family sales increased by 5 percent to 522 sales. Sarasota condo sales by 17.5 percent increase to 315 sales while Manatee condo sales decreased by 0.5 percent to 204 sales in October…
